Who We Are

About Us

We believe architecture is a cultural act before it is a technical one. The buildings we make carry voices, clients, builders, neighbors, the people who will inhabit them. Our role is to honor those voices in materials, form, and space, and to leave each place better than we found it. Design, for us, is how we build belonging.

Who We Are

The team behind Flow comes from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Kenya, Ukraine and Salem. Different languages, different references, different ways of seeing a wall, a window, a street. What we share is the conviction that buildings are better when more voices shape them.

Policy

Architecture, for us, doesn't end at the drawing board.

We teach, we publish, we show up for the next generation of architects — especially those who don't see themselves in the profession yet.

The work below isn't separate from Flow; it's part of how we understand the practice. A studio is also what it gives back to the field that holds it.

01

Our principals are educators. Darguin teaches at the Boston Architectural College, where he once studied. Marcos has worked with YouthBuild Boston's Designery, introducing high school students to architecture. We believe the profession changes when more people get to enter it — and that change starts in the classroom, not the boardroom.

Teaching

02

Darguin's YouTube channel reaches over 20,000 architects, students, and people curious about design and the craft behind it. He speaks at schools, podcasts, and industry events about practice, equity, and what it takes to run a small firm with conviction. The work travels further when the lessons travel with it.

Speaking

03

In 2026, Darguin chairs the AIA Small Firm Exchange, advocating nationally for the small practices that make up most of the profession. His film The Change We Seek won the AIA People's Choice Award in 2022. Flow is 100% MBE Owned & Operated — and proud to say it.
